So... what is Argo? Argo is probably best known from Greek mythology as the ship on which Jason and the Argonauts sailed from Iolcus to retrieve the Golden Fleece. I used to love that movie, when I was a kid the yearly airing of Jason and the Argonauts on Channel 2 (one of only 3 stations we received) was a major family event, at least to me LOL

However, Argo is also a class of Italian submarine deployed in WWII. In the last picture above you can see the Argo itself in port at Cagliari, Italy.

And now Argo is also the name of this great vintage strap from Micah. Argo is almost like an ammo strap, though it's not made from ammo pouch leather. It's soft and pliable with heaps of rich, vintage-y character. It's a natural match to any historic watch, but gives dressier watches a fine historic feel too.

The hide for this strap has immense variations in markings and color streaks, making for a very unique strap that can never be made exactly the same twice. Yours will be completely unique!

The best thing about Argo, though, is it's exceptionally rich coloration. Deep and complex, the rich colors of this strap evoke a strong sense of the earth and sea, in all their wonderful variations. A truly fantastic strap!
